A safe home for women and their kids, free of any cost.
For women who are physically, or mentally abused, or women who are seeking a path to a free and independent life. We welcome women from all regions of the country, regardless of their socioeconomic status, educational background, or other privileges. Life of women is understated & is the biggest ignorance of society. Millions of women in small cities and villages, they dont even know what a free life look like. They are severely dependent on men, and that is their biggest barrier. With this fear of being left alone, they spend their whole life silently. Even if they r suffocating, they dont raise their voice, because they dont hold any power.
And that is where WE come.
We are a group of passionate individuals, fueled by a deep desire to transform society for women. We dream of a world where women can shatter the chains of societal norms and live life on their own terms. We pledge to create a safer, kinder world for HER, where she can rebuild herself and speak out without fear. We promise to be a steady hand for her to hold on to, a ray of hope in the darkest of times. Together, we will fight for a future where women are empowered, respected, and free to be themselves.

Founder’s Note

I hail from a quaint little town called Dhanbad, nestled in the state of Jharkhand. My childhood was marked with a deep sense of empathy towards the women in my life who were living in a stifled silence. And at the very heart of it was my mother. From my earliest recollection, she was subject to unjust beatings and senseless abuse. I vividly remember seeing her in tears, inconsolable and broken, only to muster the strength to carry on with her daily duties.
It was a constant source of confusion and pain for me. Why couldn’t she raise her voice against her oppressors? Why did she continue to endure such agony? As I grew older, I realized that this was not an isolated incident – it was a widespread issue that plagued my aunts, sisters, and other married women in my community. They all seemed to have accepted it as a way of life, a norm that they were powerless to change.
But for me, it was a never-ending nightmare that haunted me every day. It was a deep-rooted sadness that permeated every aspect of my being. I couldn’t fathom how they could accept such a degrading and inhumane treatment as their fate.
Harsh reality came when I fell into this norm or rather the trap of marriage in 2017. It broke me to the core, Since very the first day of marriage, words of dowry and money moved in. I was being abused and thrashed hard , right after a month of marriage.
and after being silent for 6 months, I started to raise my voice. When I reached out to my family, they said ‘ you’re a married woman, your husband’s house is your only home. no matter however he may is, ‘Adjust’ ! Adjust because you’re a woman. Adjust because it’s your responsibility to make your husband’s house a home, adjust because it’s your responsibility to look for everyone’s happiness, adjust for sake of your parents, and adjust for the sake of “log kya kahenge’ !!! My own family discarded me, forget about society, relatives and friends. Irony was, ‘I was fighting for my own rights over my own life’.
A hard question in a woman’s life — ‘Where is Her Home’ ?? While I was a young girl, Mom used to say “daughter behave properly, you belong to your husband’s house”! After I am married, the husband said, “ Woman, you’re a lot to be torn, go to the house you were born”!
I realised, how important it is for a woman to be earning and own a house because, in our society, the given house is always a barrier to her freedom !!
I being such a strong headed girl since childhood, doing things my way, educated, earning well, settled in mumbai, yet, when I fell into this trap of marriage, and it felt like a black hole to me, from where it seemed impossible to move out. It was the darkest period of my life, and its when I understand a huge population of women are living with this undeniable pain. Because when I looked up around me, I found every other house had a similar story
Despite my pain and anguish, I was determined to make a change. I wanted to be the voice for those who had been silenced for far too long.
And thus, I founded this organization to break the silence surrounding domestic violence and empower more and more women.
